The Biggest Loser

I’m about to tell you who really is the biggest loser. Take this bible story from Matt 28:21

28“What do you think? There was a man who had two sons. He went to the first and said, ‘Son, go and work today in the vineyard.’ 29” ‘I will not,’ he answered, but later he changed his mind and went. 30“Then the father went to the other son and said the same thing. He answered, ‘I will, sir,’ but he did not go. (NIV)

Jesus asks the question which does the Father want? The first is the answer.

In today’s postmodern culture finding someone committed for more then 7 minutes is a challenge. When someone’s says they’ll do something it could be better interpreted “probably will do something.” We have a “Maybe” generation on our hands. “Maybe i’ll turn up if i’m not busy”

The biggest losers are the maybe generation. They lose out on what God could have done in their lives had they rolled up their sleeves. Their passive response means they miss out on being passionate, their lack of determination and prayer means they miss out on God’s miracles. Their lack of commitment means they won’t be picking any of God’s fruit.

Over to you…
