Coolamatong
Coolamatong is located on the Banksia Peninsula on the Gippsland Lakes not far from Painesville. There are two camp sites at Coolamatong - the Farm Camp and the Lake Camp.
Coola Ministries inc. run school camps at the Farm Camp all year round. Both camps are used by SU for our Holiday Camps. The lake camp is increasingly been used by schools and other groups.

Facilities
Indoor Facilities: The Dinning Hall consists of a large kitchen area with double oven, large 8 burner stove, two large drinks-type fridges, chest-freezer and separate upright freezer. A portable Gas BBQ is available also. The Hall will seat 50 people.
Wireless internet is available in the dinning hall.

Coolamatong History
In 1950 Fred C.W. Barton purchased ‘Littlewood’ and the Banksia Peninsula and established the Banksia Angora Goat Stud. -
The Barton’s conceived the idea of giving land on Banksia Peninsula, in 10-acre lots, to be used for youth camps. Late in 1952 the Bartons heard of CSSM (now SUFM) from a friend, and thought that maybe this was where their land was meant to go. In 1953 SU accepted the offer and chose Lot 1, the present lake campsite. Camp Coolamatong commenced operations as a camp for boys in January 1954. However the transfer of land did not officially occur until after December 1957 when SU became an incorporated body.
