A day for all ages, learning about living sustainably while caring for God's creation.

Join us as we explore the CERES (pronounced ‘series’) Community Environment Park in Brunswick East, and discover new ways to care for and appreciate God’s good creation, here in the city.

There are endless opportunities, whatever our age, to live sustainably and appreciate wildlife in the city and suburbs of Melbourne. On this next all-age Wildlife day we’ll learn about composting and permaculture; taste some edible native Australian bush foods; and take a nature walk along the Merri Creek. We’ll make our own newspaper plant pots and sow snowpea seeds; and create native Acacia seed balls to plant at home.

We’ll take time to slow-down and reflect on God’s love for his world and faithfulness to it; and consider what a faith-filled response could look like in our daily urban contexts. Activities for children will help them know God through discovering the beauty and wonder of the things He has made.

We’ll also have time throughout the day to enjoy the CERES community garden, urban farm, makers and flea market, plant nursery, bookstore, organic grocery and bakery, café and playspaces. The day will no doubt whet your appetite to return!

WildLife is a partnership between Scripture Union Victoria and A Rocha Australia.

Please note that all attendees need to have registered on this page first.
