From The State Director - June Update

  Tuesday 2nd June, 2020

While June brings winter, this year it coincides with a renewed sense of freedom as we emerge from isolation and reconnect with family, friends and colleagues.

For SU Victoria, this is a time of reflecting and planning. Over the past 10 weeks we’ve adapted to new ministry contexts; moved programs online; and developed new discipleship and training resources for families and churches. Now we’re asking how we sustain and grow ministry in a changed context, so we continue to help children, young people and families experience God’s love and Good News.

During June, SU Victoria is transitioning to a new way of organising. We are integrating our field ministries to more effectively empower and equip volunteers, catalysts, chaplains and churches. Alongside supporting existing missions, camps and school programs, we want to keep growing more volunteer teams and commence new programs across Victoria. This is a transition we’ve been working towards for more than six months, a change made more urgent in our current circumstances. Our prayer is that we’ll see more young people’s lives transformed through encountering Jesus in real and life changing ways.

God is at work in SU Victoria. Through your prayers, your involvement, your support and your generosity, you are part of all that God is doing right now. Enjoy the stories below and please keep praying for God’s Kingdom purposes as we navigate our changing context.

God bless you!
