SU Supporter Communities

What legacy will you leave? – make it count for eternity – include SU Victoria in your will.

Our Wills and Bequests program is looked after by Tom, an SU volunteer and staff member for almost fifty years, who knows SU inside out. If you are thinking about the possibility of leaving a bequest to SU, he’s the person to talk to.

THE WHY AND HOW OF LEAVING A BEQUEST TO SU

All of us will leave a legacy when we die. Most will leave legacies made up of fond memories and lasting impressions. Some are remembered by their heroic deeds (perhaps on an SU team!), or visible reminders. But all of us can also make choices of lasting significance about the estates we leave behind. We can leave a bequest.

WHAT IS A BEQUEST?

A bequest is a gift left in a Will. When you leave a bequest to Scripture Union Victoria you will give a gift that lasts beyond your lifetime; a gift that will change peoples lives.

BEING INTENTIONAL

Making a will is about thinking ahead, and not putting things off or leaving them to chance. Despite its inevitability, many people die without leaving a legal Will that provides for loved ones and valued causes. But decisions about how our estates should be managed after we are gone, and who should benefit, can really bless and strengthen all that we have believed in and committed to in this life.

We would like to send you a booklet that explains simply how to get started, if you don’t yet have a Will, and how you can leave a gift to SU that will be life-giving to others in the future. Alternatively, you can download a PDF version of the booklet.

ALREADY DONE IT?

If you have already left a bequest to SU in your will, please let us know. The information will be treated in the strictest confidence, but we’d appreciate the opportunity to thank you, and we’d like to include you as an SU Visionary.
