Pray & Connect

YOUR LOCAL NOTICEBOARD

Welcome to your Pray and Connect Local Noticeboard for November. Please see below some of the local highlights and key prayer points that your SU Australia team in Victoria wants to share with you this month.

We will continue to update and improve this space over the coming months to help keep you connected with what's happening on the ground through SU Australia ministries in Victoria. Please bear with us as we find our feet in this new format. Thank you so much for your ongoing involvement that makes this all possible!

November 2023

VITAL TRAINING for VIC chaplains

We held VITAL (Values Integrated Through Action-based Learning) training for our chaplains last Friday and Saturday (Oct 20,21. We have a further session planned for the upcoming weekend (Melbourne Cup weekend). 10 of our Victorian chaplains are participating in that. Please pray this would be an enriching time of professional development for them as they seek to enhance the support they provide to their school communities.

VIC Events, Camps, and Missions on our national website

Check out our Vic camps and missions page on the SU Australia website. It's exciting to see just how much ministry there is to come across our region in the coming months. To find out more and keep up with all the latest ministry and events across Victoria, visit our Vic events page on the SU website.

SANCTUARY FAMILY RETREAT

Our Sanctuary Family Retreat camp for asylum-seeking families who've recently arrived in Australia is running from 27 Dec - 1 Jan. Please pray for team building and training taking place from now through to December. Please pray for God's favour as we invite families to participate and that through this new ministry we will be able to build partnerships with churches who are supporting families seeking asylum.

Prayers up for Beach Missions

Our individual beach missions teams are planning and having their team weekends and team fundraisers coming up in the coming weeks as they prepare for summer. Please keep them in your prayers, and that this summer more children, young people and families will have more opportunities to experience God's love, hope and Good News!

A prayerful encounter

It was such a blessing to catch up recently with Nozi Khanda, our prayer catalyst, who caught up with our team in Melbourne this month. Her heart and passion for praying for the work of SU is an inspiration to us all.
