Coola Internships: Learning, Sharing, Growing
There were so many things I learned on the NT trip. We were teaching the kids about teamwork, and being part of Jesus’s team. God showed me a lot about how all our different skills come together as part of his team, and how important all our different skills are. I’ve often find myself being the person in a situation who tries to bring everyone together. I realised that maybe that’s a God-given gift, to be that mediator and help people accept the outsiders. I’ve been challenged to live my life more awake in my faith and keep seeking more connection with God.

It’s so exciting to be a Coola Intern this year. I really didn’t have any expectations coming into the year. Coming from Queensland, I didn’t know where I was going, I didn’t know who was going to be here, I didn’t know anything! But there’s so many new things and good opportunities, especially for kids to experience God’s love. It’s out of my comfort zone, but really good.

This year has been really enjoyable and energising to me. I really love to be outdoors and spending time with the kids on camp, playing around and having fun. I expected it to be busy, and I really love that. To be able to be around new people, not just sitting inside somewhere. I love how natural Coolamatong is, and love the support from the team.
